These cover this website and the free hosted instance. The software is MIT licensed, and running it yourself is governed by that licence, not by this page.

By installing or using Morgenruf ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
Morgenruf is an open-source Slack bot that facilitates daily asynchronous standups for teams. The hosted version is operated by Anmol Nagpal ("we", "us"), in Canada, and is sponsored and hosted by CloudDrove. Source code is available at github.com/morgenruf/morgenruf under the MIT license.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and have the authority to install applications in your Slack workspace to use the Service. By installing, you represent that you have such authority.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to send spam, harassment, or illegal content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Morgenruf API.
- Interfere with other users or the stability of the Service.
- Violate Slack's own Terms of Service.
4. Free Hosted Tier
The hosted version of Morgenruf is provided free of charge, and the self-hosted version (via GitHub) is free and open source under the MIT licence. There are no paid plans.
5. Data & Privacy
Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property
The Morgenruf source code is MIT licensed. The Morgenruf name, logo, and brand assets are owned by the Morgenruf project and may not be used without permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UPTIME, ACCURACY, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MORGENRUF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling Morgenruf from your Slack workspace. We may suspend access for violations of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
